ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVIST ERIN BROCKOVICH HEADLINES FUNDRAISER FOR TEXAS RAILROAD COMMISSION CANDIDATE CHRYSTA CASTAÑEDA
September 28, 2020 (DALLAS) Environmental activist and author Erin Brockovich will be the special guest at a virtual fundraiser for Chrysta Castañeda, Democratic candidate for the Texas Railroad Commission, on Saturday, Oct. 3, 5-6 p.m.
Registration for the event is available here: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/erinbrockovich
“Erin and I are both on the same side of one of the most crucial issues of our time: protecting our environment,” Chrysta said. “We must find a way to meet our energy needs without making this planet uninhabitable for our children and grandchildren, and I know we can do it. That’s why I’m fighting so hard to earn Texans’ vote in this critical election. My race for the Railroad Commission has been called the most important climate election in the nation, and I’m so pleased Erin is supporting me in this effort.”
Erin is a consumer advocate and environmental activist who was instrumental in building a case against the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) of California in 1993. Her successful lawsuit was the subject of a 2000 film, Erin Brockovich, starring Julia Roberts.
